This is my own investment, a fully renovated brick ranch in Stono Shores. The neighborhood is an established part of James Island with no HOA, minutes from the Charleston Municipal Golf Course and a short drive to Folly Beach and downtown.
I obtained BZA approval for a short-term rental special exception and added the house to my rental portfolio. It is a practical example of short-term rental investing on James Island, outside the downtown STR Overlay Zone.
